It's strange how strange it is being back here in Mesa.

It feels like a dream. Like one of those realistic but still hazey dreams.

I've eaten really well thus far. Run into a few great friends.
Spent good time with family.
Spend good time with Julia's family.

And best of all, Julia and I have been able to be together more.
We've figured out a lot of things while we've been down here.
And we have a date tomorrow night.

And there, my friends, is the rub.

I'm going to the Rolex!!!

The tickets arrived today and it is going to be awesome!

Four days of watching awesome horses and riders do their thing in Dressage, cross-country, and stadium jumping!

Plus! They have the test events for Dressage and Show Jumping for the World Equestrian Games in September!

It's like getting to go to the Superbowl or World Series, but more awesome because these are Olympic qualifier events as well as for the WEG!

Woo!

I've got some good stuff on my plate! Now I just need to keep myself organized so I can get it all done!

Commission to work on, soft deadline.

Cart to finish painting, needs to be done before Panda foals! Or at least should be.

Exchange picture due next week.

Panda needs continued pestering (and braiding!).

Panda udders need cleaning when it's warmer.

Contest drawing due the end of the month.

Exciting!

Chris and I went to the second official meeting of the Arizona Draft Horse and Mule Association while we were up in Cottonwood and guess who volunteered herself to make the logo for said brand new organization?

Yeah, that'd be me. It's exciting to be sure! I need to send the pseudo-secretary an e-mail (they don't quite have a official one yet) asking about whether we should vote on them at the next meeting and if there were any other ideas that people wanted to see and such.

Julia was right- it does sound like my toilet is breathing.
It's creepy cause the bathroom is right next to my computer. So I feel like someone is watching me right now.

I have this tendency to over-complicate things.
I think I've been doing a little too much of that lately.
Over-complicating life. The future. My relationship with Julia.
It's so nice when I just calm myself and look at it in the simplest way possible.
And I realize how good I have it. How blessed I am.

I remember in high school as the end was nearing closer and closer- I was so anxious to see where life would take me. And where life would take those close to me. I'd sit in the HOTT News room and stare out into the drama classroom. See familiar faces pass by.
I wonder how aware I was that those faces wouldn't been seen much over the next few years, and then eventually never seen.

I'm always wondering how I would've reacted if I was told how my future would play out.
Just these last 5 years have been so unpredictable. And yet, so right. Every step had meaning. Every person, experience, and place offered a new piece to this puzzle.

When you're standing on the edge of starting the rest of your life- and not just that but starting it in the exact way you always wanted to- you appreciate every tender mercy that offered you a push forward in this direction. And I've certainly had my share of those.

I'm rambling.
I'm in love with a girl.
The next year is sure to have some of the happiest moments of my life.
I still don't know how it's going to play out but I know I've got someone leading me in the right direction. Someone wanting nothing but my happiness.
